Due to these unprecedented times, the GMAPCC will host a virtual National PCC Day instead of the traditional National PCC Day.  We came to this conclusion based on recent survey results where many in the PCC community cited concerns about large group gatherings and company travel restrictions.

 National PCC Week is the premier annual PCC event featuring postal leadership sharing USPS strategic initiatives and the opportunity for the GMAPCC to hold educational sessions with local business and organization leaders.  This year will be no different. Tammie Clendenning of the Small Business Administration (SBA) will introduce the SBA and the ways that it can assist businesses to become stronger and sucessful. Created in 1953, SBA continues to help small business owners and entrepreneurs pursue the American dream. The SBA is the only cabinet-level federal agency fully dedicated to small business and provides counseling, capital, and contracting expertise as the nation’s only go-to resource and voice for small businesses.

A new Forever stamp, Holiday Delights, will be issued by the U.S. Postal Service. This stamp draws on vintage ornaments and Scandinavian folk art to create unique digital illustrations of four holiday icons.

WASHINGTON, DC — The United States Postal Service provided new service performance data yesterday to the House Committee on Oversight and Reform and the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, indicating performance continued overarching upward improvement while ensuring trucks run on time and adhering to the Postal Service’s existing transportation schedule.

WASHINGTON, DC — As part of ongoing preparations for the November election, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy held a conference call today with the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) Election Committee. This second meeting with NASS follows an Aug. 27 conference call with the NASS President and Election Committee Chair and co-Chair in addition to a substitute for the President-elect. On Monday, USPS officials held a similar call regarding election preparations with the National Association of State Election Directors.

WISCONSIN, ILLINOIS — The Post Office will be closed on Saturday, July 4, 2020, in observance of Independence Day. There will be no mail delivery, caller service or Post Office Box service. All services resume on Monday, July 6. The Post Office will be open regularly scheduled hours on July 3.
