From AI to the NFL: The 2025 PCC Day Brings
Fresh Perspectives to the Mail Industry
In preparation for the 2025 Greater Madison Area PCC Day, the Madison planning committee held several virtual meetings to identify a speaker who would complement the event’s agenda. A variety of options were considered—from motivational speakers to university mailroom professionals who could provide insight into large-scale mail operations. The turning point came when La Verne Morgan-Hill, Postal Co-Chair and Manager of Customer Relations for the Wisconsin District, engaged her Business Service Network Representatives for speaker suggestions, which significantly shaped the final lineup.
The program featured an outstanding roster of speakers. Ms. Wanda Prater, District Manager, opened with a powerful address commemorating the 250th anniversary of the USPS and honoring the strong partnerships with our customers. Mr. Dale Kennedy, Director of Product Classification, followed with an insightful presentation on the future direction of the Postal Service. After a brief intermission, Kevin Goss, Vice President of Postal Affairs and Enterprise Solutions at Postal Source, delivered a compelling session on AI in the mailroom—previously presented at the National Postal Forum. We then introduced a new short-format presentation style, beginning with Ben Wolfgram, co-founder of a specialty glassware company, who discussed how USPS Ground Advantage has benefited his business. Concluding the event, Danielle Downing, Postmaster of Two Rivers, shared her experience coordinating a passport fair in collaboration with the Green Bay Packers, including an interactive trivia game with official Packers prizes, courtesy of the #PackersGiveBack program.
Held on August 27th—just 20 days after our 13th Annual Golf Outing—the event took place at the American Family Insurance auditorium, generously provided by our Gold Level Sponsor. With 38 industry members and 9 postal employees in attendance, the event received overwhelmingly positive feedback. The success of this new format and the inclusion of industry-led presentations reflect our continued commitment to innovation, collaboration, and education.
If you missed it, we encourage you to join us next year—PCC Day continues to be an excellent opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired.
